The Roma Street Parklands are located right next door to us. The world-class recreation and nature parklands consists of more than a hundred acres of lakes, fountains, waterfalls, rainforests, botanical and scented gardens, grass areas, barbeques and walking trails and cost more than 100 million dollars to build. It is truly amazing and beautiful.
Funky Bohemian West End café and cultural
precinct is 10 to 15 minutes walk away. This is Brisbane’s
original ethnic area and thus features lots of yummy
Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican
and Greek Cafes, together with modern Australian cuisines,
great bars and pool halls, coffee houses, cigar lounges
and bars. You will often find street performers and
buskers performing along the main street of West End.
It is also a great area to find a book exchange or
a second hand store for clothes.
